TC's Faust selected to Hoosier Gym Classic all-star game

The 17th Annual Hoosier Gym Classic will host many of the state’s top basketball talents including Triton Central senior Olivia Faust.

Knightstown’s historic Hoosier Gym, home of the “Hoosiers” Hickory Huskers, is the site for the girls/boys doubleheader all-star games on April 30.

The girls game starts at noon with the boys game to follow. Tickets are $25 for access to both games. They are limited and only sold online at www.thehoosiergym.com.

Selected to participate in the girls game are Garrett’s Nataley Armstrong and Morgan Ostrowski, Franklin’s Kuryn Brunson and Ashlyn Traylor, North Harrison’s Diana Burgher, Carmel’s Kate Clarke, Westfield’s Alyssa Crockett, Triton Central’s Olivia Faust, Columbus East’s Koryn Greiwe, Franklin Central’s Rayah Kincer, Tri-West’s Kenna Kirby, Blue River’s Ally Madden, Hamilton Heights’ McKayla Moran, Salem’s Natalie Noel, Homestead’s Ayanna Patterson, South Bend Washington’s Mila Reynolds, Benton Central’s Tressa Senesac, Terre Haute North’s Zoe Stewart, Crown Point’s Lilly Stoddard and North Central’s Tanyuel Welch.

The girls all-star game coaches are Ginny Smith, Keegan Cherry, Dave Miller and Katie Jackson.

Faust (photo) led Triton Central to a 19-5 record this past season. As a senior, she averaged 13.3 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game. She will play collegiately at Marian University in Indianapolis.

Patterson was named Indiana Miss Basketball after averaging 25.8 points and 11.8 rebounds for a 23-2 squad that won its fourth straight sectional title. The 6-3 guard/forward will play collegiately at the University of Connecticut.

The boys roster also features Indiana Mr. Basketball honoree Braden Smith of Westfield, who will join Purdue’s basketball program in the fall.

Also selected to play in the boys all-star game are Leo’s D.J. Allen, New Palestine’s Steele Brasfield, Cathedral’s Tayshawn Comer and Jaxon Edwards, Pike’s Ryan Conwell, Warren Central’s D’Ante Davis, Central Noble’s Conner Essegian, Lawrence North’s C.J. Gunn, Mt. Vernon’s Amhad Jarrard and Armon Jarrard, Homestead’s Fletcher Loyer, North Harrison’s Logan McIntire, Silver Creek’s Brandon Northern, Eastern Hancock’s Landon O’Neal, Danville’s Brady Ruggles, Brebeuf’s Billy Smith, Carmel’s Peter Suder and Charlie Williams, and Monroe Central’s Jackson Ullom.

The boys coaches are Mark Galloway, Jonathan Fuelling, Fonso White and Scott McClelland, the former boys basketball coach at Morristown and current Noblesville head coach.
