State Doubles Tournament

Waldron’s Mackenzie Shaw and Megan Bogemann improved to 17-0 this season with a 7-5, 6-4 win over Indian Creek’s Emilee Scott and Olivia Perry.

The match may serve as the sectional championship match depending on the outcome of the Franklin-Triton Central match.

Bogemann and Shaw have no other competition in the sectional round of the state tournament, according to Waldron head coach Chelsea Platt.

If the Mohawks are declared sectional champions, they will advance to the Fishers Regional on June 4 and face the Richmond Sectional champions in a semifinal round match.
