Collegiate Update: Heath helps Hanover stay unbeaten in HCAC standings

Taylor Heath filled up the stat sheet coming off the bench Wednesday night for Hanover’s women’s basketball team in a 71-54 victory over Franklin College.

The Triton Central graduate finished with four points, two rebounds, five assists and three steals to keep the Panthers unbeaten against Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference opponents.

Hanover improved to 11-4 this season and 8-0 in HCAC games.

On Saturday, Hanover defeated Earlham College, 67-48. Heath had 10 points, three rebounds and three assists.

Here is a look at other Shelby County graduates competing at the collegiate level.

 

 

Maya Chandler

The Triton Central graduate had six points and one rebound Wednesday for Loyola in a 58-36 loss at Saint Joseph’s.

The loss dropped the Ramblers to 6-11 overall and 1-3 in the Atlantic 10.

On Saturday, Chandler had 10 points, four rebounds, one assist and one steal in Loyola’s 76-59 loss to Massachusetts.

 

 

Dylan Langkabel

The Morristown graduate collected eight points, four rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocked shots Wednesday in Marian’s 73-71 loss to St. Francis (Ind.).

The Knights fell to 14-4 overall and 4-4 in the Crossroads League standings.

On Saturday, Langkabel finished with 15 points, three rebounds, one steal and four assists in Marian’s 100-51 win over Goshen College.

 

 

Drake Moore

The Morristown graduate had 11 points, eight rebounds and one assist Saturday in Oakland City’s 72-66 overtime loss at West Virginia University Institute of Technology.

Oakland City is 7-10 this season.

 

 

Bella Larrison

The Waldron graduate had two points, two rebounds, one assist and one block Wednesday in Anderson’s 87-73 win over Defiance.

The Ravens (9-5, 5-2 HCAC) have won six straight games for the first time since the 2008-2009 season.

On Saturday, Larrison finished with two points, two rebounds, one assist and one steal in Anderson’s 79-71 win at Franklin College.

 

 

Cameron Baker

The Shelbyville graduate finished third for Franklin College in the one-meter diving competition at the Colonel Classic, hosted by Centre College in Danville, Kentucky.

Baker totaled 231.95 points to help Franklin College to a runner-up finish in the swimming and diving event.
