Prep Report: Graham leads TC to Pink Out game win over Tri-West

In her final “Pink Out” game at Triton Central, senior Lizzie Graham scored a game-high 21 points to lead the Class 2A, No. 15 Tigers to a 53-32 victory over Tri-West.

Triton Central raced out to a 20-2 lead after one quarter and rolled to their 16th win of the season, and career win No. 297 for head coach Bryan Graham.

Now in its 15th year of existence, Triton Central’s “Pink Out” game has raised more than $200,000 to help local families fight breast cancer.

Maryrose Felling finished with 14 points and Brooklyn Bailey had 10 points.

Lauren Bear led Tri-West (6-15) with 16 points.

Triton Central (16-4) travels Tuesday to Perry Meridian (3-15).

Boys basketball

Greenfield-Central 65, Shelbyville 39

At Greenfield-Central Saturday, Ollie Sandman and Damon Badgley combined to hit a trio of first-quarter three-pointers but Shelbyville could not sustain enough offense to keep up with the Cougars.

Greenfield-Central (12-1, 4-1 Hoosier Heritage Conference) outscored the Golden Bears, 34-20 in the second half.

Braylon Mullins led G-C with 25 points. Dylan Moles followed with 22.

Sandman (14 points) and Badgley (13) combined for 27 points for Shelbyville (7-9, 1-4 HHC).

The Golden Bears travel to Indian Creek (9-4) Friday.

Bethesda Christian 67, Waldron 44

At Waldron Saturday, Class A, No. 3 Bethesda Christian outscored the Mohawks 19-9 in the third quarter to improve to 12-2 this season.

Bryce Yarling scored a team-high 16 points for Waldron (7-8). Lucas Mitchell finished with 11.

Waldron is at Southwestern Friday.

Indianapolis Lutheran 74, Triton Central 61

At Lutheran Saturday, visiting Triton Central got out to a 22-12 lead after one quarter but the Saints recovered for a 36-35 halftime lead and outscored the Tigers 38-26 over the final 16 minutes.

Triton Central dropped to 11-4 overall and 0-2 in the Indiana Crossroads Conference.

Class A, No. 6 Lutheran improved to 9-3 (3-1 ICC).

The Tigers travel to Indianapolis Scecina (9-5, 0-2 ICC) Friday.

North Decatur 73, Morristown 41

At Morristown Friday, the visiting Chargers started fast and stayed steady to secure the Mid-Hoosier Conference win.

North Decatur (11-4, 4-0 MHC) led 21-7 after one quarter and 40-17 by halftime.

Jameson Palmer led the Yellow Jackets (1-14, 1-4 MHC) with 13 points and three rebounds. Dakoda Lee added nine points. Chase Theobald finished with four points and six rebounds.

Morristown travels Friday to Edinburgh (9-5, 2-3 MHC).

Edinburgh 64, Southwestern 39

At Southwestern Friday, Caleb Dewey, Edinburgh’s career scoring leader, finished with a game-high 21 points to lead the Lancers (9-5, 2-3 MHC) to a road win.

Connor Ramey had 14 points and Jarrett Turner added 12 points.

Ben Kahler was the only Spartan to reach double digits with 18 points.

Southwestern (1-13, 0-3 MHC) hosts Waldron (7-8, 2-1 MHC) Friday.

Waldron 47, Hauser 38

At Waldron Friday, Lucas Mitchell scored a game-high 25 points to lead the host Mohawks to a conference win over the Jets (7-8, 2-2 MHC).

Mitchell hit 9 of 10 free throws in the final quarter to seal the win.

Ledger Gelfius led the Jets with 14 points.

Girls basketball

Shelbyville 66, Delta 31

At Delta, the visiting Golden Bears rocketed out to a 24-8 lead after one quarter and cruised to their second HHC victory of the season.

Ava Wilson scored a career-high 31 points, including 12 in the first quarter when Shelbyville (13-8, 2-5 HHC) took control.

Ellie Keller finished with 11 points. Shelbyville scoring leader Kylee Edwards did not play after suffering an ankle injury in a loss to Whiteland Wednesday.

Jillian Barr topped Delta (6-13, 1-5 HHC) with 20 points.

The Golden Bears close out their regular-season schedule at home Thursday against Hauser (9-9). The Jets are coached by former Shelbyville assistant athletic director Kyle Shipp.

Southwestern 44, Edinburgh 40

At Southwestern Friday, McKinley Correll hit 9 of 10 free throws and scored a game-high 19 points to lead the Spartans (5-15, 1-5 MHC) over a potential sectional opponent.

Gracie Crawhorn scored a team-high 18 points for the Lancers (6-15, 0-4 MHC).

Edinburgh hosts Brown County (11-9) Tuesday.
