Ball (photo, third from left) will be joined at the Perry Meridian Regional by Shelbyville’s Jacob Harker, a sectional runner-up at 285 pounds, and six more Tigers and Golden Bears that finished in the top four to advance.

Ball pinned Greenfield-Central’s Owen Howell, defeated Warren Central’s Greg Johnson in the semifinals and Franklin Central’s Talan Humphrey in the championship to secure his first sectional title.

Harker, a junior, scored a pair of victories to reach the championship match where he was defeated by Franklin Central’s Andrew Just, 6-1.

Harker pinned New Palestine’s Gabe Lytell in the first period to reach the semifinals, then defeated Warren Central’s Perris Green, 3-2.

Also qualifying for the regional with fourth-place finishes were Triton Central’s Ayden Nufio (106), Dayne Bailey (132), Ethan Booth (138) and Andrew Bailey (195), and Shelbyville’s Isaiah Havens (120) and Julian Eads (145).
