Four Shelbyville football players named Academic All-State

Four Shelbyville High School football players were named Academic All-State in Region 8 by the Indiana Football Coaches Association.

Riley Fortune, Carson Linville, Cael Lux and Jackson Parker were honored for their performance in the classroom.

The quartet were amongst 161 players from Region 8 to earn the Academic All-State designation.

Other notable Hoosier Heritage Conference student-athletes honored in Region 8 were Greenfield-Central’s Owen Anderson, Gael Bravo, Will DeJarnett, Brayden Harrell, Brodie Mayberry, Anthony Miller-Carnahan, Garrett Taylor and Andrew Zellers; Mt. Vernon’s Tatchi Anouan, Owen Bitz, George Burhenn, Anderson Dawson, Kyler Grill, Ashton Julian, Dylan Kistler, Kellan LaBelle and Jake Lange; New Castle’s Adien Bradley, Haidyn Bulmer and Trey Snyder; New Palestine’s Eli Hook, Baylor Hurst, Trey Keele, Bryant Nunnally, Blaine Nunnally, Ben Purciful, AJ Reierson, Eian Roudebush, Brendan Tanksley, Daniel Tippit IV and Thomas Wood; and Pendleton Heights’ Quinton DeVault, Jared Hess, Jalen Jordan, Sam Mossoney and Ian Stephens.
