Shelbyville boys basketball head coach John Hartnett took over in the middle of a season.  Then, a coronavirus pandemic ruined a summer and offseason.  

The former Golden Bear player now goes into his first full season as the head coach of his alma mater without the team's leading scorer and rebounder lost to graduation.  But eight seniors comprise the roster coming off an 8-15 record (2-8 under Hartnett) last season.

Shelbyville opens the season Wednesday at Rushville on GIANT fm Sports (96.5, 106.3, giant.fm) .
