A call to Shelby County law enforcement led authorities to a welfare check Saturday.  A person is reported to have committed suicide.

The Shelby County Sheriff's Department reports a call came in to the department and officers responded to the area of 775 East and 500 North on Saturday.  

There's no further word on what brought the person to that rural area of the county. The person's identification is not being released.
