One man was killed and three others injured in a Johnson County crash Monday morning. The Johnson County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a crash in the 3000 block of West Olive Branch Road, west of St. Rd. 135 just after 9:00 am. Deputies found a delivery truck, contracted for Home Depot, in the eastbound lanes where it appeared a delivery was being made at a residence. A pickup truck heading eastbound struck the rear of the delivery truck, and pinned one of the delivery workers between the trucks. He was pronounced dead on the scene. The other two delivery workers were injured and transported to Eskenazi and Methodist hospitals, as well as the driver of the pickup truck. The driver of the pickup truck told deputies he was unable to see the delivery truck stopped in the road because of the rising sun blinding him. The Johnson County Sheriff's Office does not believe intoxication or unsafe driving were factors. A report will be forthcoming upon confirmation of notification to next of kin.
