Eileen Marie Sheehan, 55, of Shelbyville passed away Sunday, May 3, 2020, at her home.

She was born September 29, 1964, in Louisville, Kentucky, the daughter of George Louis and Doris M. (Liebert) Sheehan.

Eileen is survived by her sisters, Maureen Sheehan of Shelbyville, Terri Strouse and husband, Rich, of Indianapolis, and Carol Pogoni and husband, Sam, of Harrison, Ohio; brother, Michael George Sheehan of LaPorte; uncles, Louis Liebert Jr. of Louisville, Kentucky and Charles Sheehan of Winter Springs, Florida; aunts, JoAnn Nevins and husband, Richard, of Libertyville, Illinois, and Barbara Sheehan of Louisville, Kentucky; and numerous cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and niece, Molly Nicole Sheehan.

Eileen was a devoted member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church.

She graduated in 1983 from Immaculate Conception Academy. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from St. Joseph College in 1987.

Eileen worked at Walmart for over 28 years, primarily as a pharmacy technician and also a cashier.

She had a kind, gentle soul. Eileen was a loyal friend, devoted sister and had a compassionate heart. She was proudly devoted to the health and well-being of pharmacy clientele. She had a quiet strength and was a good person.

Eileen was an avid reader and enjoyed authors Agatha Christie and Jane Austen. Eileen also enjoyed watching British dramas, romances and mysteries on television.

Visitation will be from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Thursday, May 7, 2020 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville. Please follow the current COVID-19 guideline on social distancing.

Private family services will be observed.

Interment will be at Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Shelbyville.
