Norvin Humphrey, Jr., 82, of Shelbyville, passed away Friday, October 9 2020 at MHP Medical Center.

Born December 7, 1937 in Fayette County, he was the son of Norvin Humphrey and Marqurite (Engleking) Humphrey.  He married Alice Jean (Montgomery) Humphrey on January 4, 1959 and she preceded him on February 1, 2010.

Survivors include a son Gerald Humphrey (companion Debra Thompson) of Shelbyville, a daughter Theresa Adams (husband Mark) of Shelbyville; 3 grandchildren- Norvin Eric Adams, Travis Adams (wife Brittany), Phillip  Humphrey; and 2 great grandchildren- Savannah Adams and Noah Adams. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, his spouse, and a sister Mary Keesling.

Mr. Humphrey attended Connersville High School, and had been employed as an electrician with IBEW Local # 481 for many years, retiring in 1997.
Norvin loved to watch sports on TV, especially  Cincinnati Reds baseball, wood working, and spending time with his family and friends.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road, with Pastor Bill Horner and Rev. Harvey Weaver officiating.  Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call on Wednesday morning at the funeral home from 11:00 am until the time of the service.
