Sue Ellen Anders, 74, of Shelbyville

Sue Ellen Anders, 74, of Shelbyville passed away Thursday, December 10, 2020, surrounded by family, at her home.

 

She was born September 3, 1946, in Shelbyville, the daughter of Emil and Vivian (Beck) Wilson. On July 26, 1990, she married her husband of 30 years, Billy H. Anders, and he survives.

 

In addition to Bill, Sue is survived by her son, Joseph Aldridge of Shelbyville; daughter, Janet Hitchcock of Shelbyville; sister, Kathy Custis and husband, Mike, of Greencastle; grandchildren, Lawrence Hitchcock, Christopher Hitchcock, Adlen “Adie” Antel, Joseph “Joey” Aldridge, Walter “Cole” Aldridge and Sean Aldridge and wife, Brittany; niece, Holly; nephew, Adam; one great-nephew; four great-nieces; daughter-in-law, Susan (Chesebrough) Powers; and lifelong dearest friend, Sharon Wade-Moore of Shelbyville.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents.

 

Sue graduated in 1965 from Shelbyville High School.

 

She retired in 2019 from MHP Medical Center, with 35 years of service.

 

Sue loved her family and dedicated her whole life to them.

 

She enjoyed reading, watching birds and loved all animals.

 

Sue also leaves behind her fur babies, Molly Grace, Tipper and Mayrene.

 

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, December 14, 2020, at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.

 

Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with Rev. Bill Horner officiating.

 

Inurnment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery at a later date.

 

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, CDC guidelines requiring a mask and social distancing will be observed. There will be a limit of 50 people allowed inside the funeral home at a time.

 

Memorial contributions may be made to the Shelbyville-Shelby County Animal Shelter, 705 Hale Road, Shelbyville, Indiana 46176.
