Wanda Jean Ott, 72, of Hope

Wanda Jean Ott, 72, of Hope, passed away Monday, August 9, 2021 at Columbus Regional Hospital.

 

She was born December 16, 1948 in Indianapolis to Charles Wilkins and Norma Jean (Carlisle) Wilkins.

 

She worked in sales for many years and was assistant manager for Village Pantry.

 

She was a member of the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ in Columbus.  Wanda enjoyed going to church and being involved in church functions.  She had a love for Jesus Christ and a very strong faith.       

 

Wanda was a caretaker at heart and loved her family very much.  She was always praying for her family and loved ones.

 

She married Gene Ray Jones on January 20, 1975 and he preceded her in death on August 2, 2007.  She later married Richard Ott on October 31, 2012 and he passed away on Monday, August 9, 2021.

 

Wanda is survived by her son, Eric Jones (Lisa) of Ft. Myers, FL; her daughter, Christy Fox of Shelbyville; her grandson, Josh Botts (Brandy) of Columbus; her granddaughters, Eliza Jones of Ft. Myers, and Wanda Hughes of Shelbyville; her grandsons, Aaron Hughes of Shelbyville and Eric Ray Jones Jr. of Fort Myers; and her brother, Kenny Wilkins (Linda) of Florida.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, her son-in-law, Marion Gordon Fox, her brother, Robert Wilkins; her daughter, Michelle Botts, her son, Brian Botts, her daughter, Wanda Lee Botts, her son, Billy Ray Botts, and her grandson Nathan Hughes.

 

A graveside service will be held on Friday August 13, 2021at 11A.M. at Macedonia Cemetery in Brownsburg, IN with Brother Timothy Streeval officiating.
