Therese Elizabeth Schuerman, 76, of Avon, former St. Paul resident, passed away August 26, 2021 at St. Vincent Hospital.

Born January 20, 1945 in Chicago, Illinois, she was the daughter of Cedric "Ted" Hoban and Blanche "Betty" (Matan) Hoban.  She married James Schuerman on November 14, 1964, and he survives.

Other survivors include 3 children - Daniel Schuerman (wife Jennifer) of Brownsburg, Michael Schuerman (wife Rhonda Hinkle) of Speedway, Denise Kerfoot of Grosse Point, Michigan; 3 brothers- Peter Hoban (wife Linda Romine) of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Timothy Hoban (wife Pam) of Waldron, Patrick Hoban (wife Stacey Groves) of Waldron; best friend and sister-in-law Barbara Hoban of Shelbyville; 6 grandchildren- Madisen, Jake, Everett, & Oliver Schuerman, Hudson & Vienna Kerfoot.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Don Hoban.

Mrs. Schuerman was a lifelong resident of central Indiana, and graduated from St. Paul High School in 1961, and from Indiana University School of Nursing in Indianapolis.  She was a registered nurse at Methodist Hospital for 25 years,

and a member of St. Susanna Catholic Church in Plainfield.

Therese enjoyed traveling, cooking, gardening, hosting family get togethers, being a friend to all forest animals, spending time with her family, and was a kind, accepting, and understanding person.

Funeral services will be 12:00 noon on Monday, August 30, 2021 at Glenn E. George Funeral Home, 106 E. Franklin St., St, Paul, with burial in Van Pelt Cemetery.  Friends may call on Monday morning from 10:00 am until the time of the service. at the funeral home.
