Judith Irene “Judy” Baker, 76, of Greenwood, passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at St. Francis Hospice House in Indianapolis.

She was born February 19, 1946, in Rushville, the daughter of George W. and Opal Louise (Six) Burris.

Judy is survived by her daughter, Stacy Couture and husband, Jessie, of Greenwood; brothers, William “Henry Burris and Joseph Allen Burris, both of Connersville; sister Sharon Turner and husband, Kenneth, of Bainbridge; grandchildren, Jesslynn Couture, Ashley Scott, Branden Scott and Christopher Scott; great-grandchildren, Acacia Wachtel, Emma Wachtel, Olivia Wachtel, Irielgh Wachtel, Jazmine Wachtel and Jordyn Scott; great-grandchild, Morgan Kunkler; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jamie Baker; and brothers, George J. Burris, Charles Burris and Harlan Burris; and sisters, Alice Duerigen and Caroline Jones.

Judy graduated in 1966 from Arlington High School.

She retired from RCA, with 32 years of service, in 1994.

She enjoyed playing games, her computer, watching her favorite television shows and family cookouts.

Visitation will be from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, June 18, 2022, at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Frazier Chapel, 124 E. North St. in Morristown.

Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, at the funeral home.

Interment will be at Arlington East Hill Cemetery in Arlington.
