Dereke Dru Mink, 55, of Greensburg

Dereke Dru Mink, 55, of Greensburg, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2022.

 

He was born August 26, 1966 in San Diego, CA. to Bruce Lansciardi and Olivia (Noyas) Bennett.

 

Dereke attended Arsenal Technical High School.

 

He was owner and operator of Dereke Mink Painting for 13 years, before spending 13 years at Honda in the VQ Department.  Dereke loved Waldron Athletics especially basketball.  He enjoyed being active with the Athletic Department by keeping books and announcing the basketball games.

 

He enjoyed being outdoors, riding his Harley Davidson, fishing, and traveling to Florida.

 

His greatest joy came from the times he spent with his family and making many memories through the years.   General acts of kindness were very important to him.  Dereke was a man of faith and Loved God. 

 

Dereke is survived by his father, Bruce (wife, Deb); sons, Brandon Teague (wife, Tara); Kurt Mink, daughter, Heather Mink, sons, Kodi Mink, and Christian Mink, grandchildren, Landon Teague, Hayden “Moose” Teague, Skyler Teague, and Stella Mink, siblings, DeeAnna Fahrenkamp, Melody Mink Meyer, and Don R. Mink, several nieces and nephews, and his step-father, Don Mink (wife, Connie).

 

He was preceded in death by his mother, and brother, Andre Mink.

 

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 9, 2022 at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN 46176.

 

Funeral services will follow at 4 p.m. at the funeral home with Reverend Harvey Weaver officiating.

 

Funeral Directors, Greg Parks, Sheila Parks, Stuart Parks, and Darin Schutt are honored to serve Dereke’s family.
