Marjorie H. Allen, 76, of Shelbyville, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2022 at
her residence.
Born February 6, 1946 in Hazard Kentucky, she was the daughter of Sewell Fugate
and Dorothy (Spencer) Hamblin. She married Roy Allen Jr. on March 20, 1963 and
he passed away on December 4, 2018.
Survivors include 3 children- Helen Allen of Shelbyville, Roy Allen III of Nevada (Steve), Melissa Steele (husband Steve) of Fairland; 2 brothers- Wendis Fugate of Shelbyville, Paul Hamblin of Kentucky; 2 sisters- Charlotte Kelly of Kentucky, Naoma Allen (husband Mike) of Kentucky; 5 grandchildren- Adam Steele, Caleb Steele (wife Allyssa), Aaron Steele, David Steele, Tiffany Emsweller (husband Dylan); and one great grandchild Natalie Emsweller.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her spouse, several sisters, and one brother.
Mrs. Allen had lived most of her lifetime in this area, and was a member of Faith Trinnity Pentecostal Church. She had been a factory worker at Williams Industries for several years, retiring in 1992.
Marjorie enjoyed gardening, flowers, and word search puzzles.
Funeral services will be 1:00 pm on Monday, July 18, 2022 at Faith Trinity Pentecostal Church, 505 W. Pennsylvania St., with Pastor Perry Fouts officiating.
Burial will be in London Cemetery.
Friends may call from 11:00 am until the time of the service, at the church.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, in care of the funeral home.
