Walter Roberts, 59, of Shelbyville, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at his residence.

He was born September 6, 1963 in Franklin, IN to George Carroll Roberts and Elsie (Harting) McTaggart.

Walter graduated in 1984 from Franklin Community High School.

He was a previous member of the Moose, Eagle’s and American Legion.  Walter was a permanent fixture at Willey’s Bar.  He loved meeting and seeing people there.  He will be loved and missed by all.

Walter is survived by his sisters, Patricia Burris of Franklin, Nancy Ostendorf (husband, Aaron) of Greensburg, and Kristina Spurlock of Lafayette, his brother, Ricky Roberts, along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, and his brothers, John Roberts and Mickey Roberts.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Murphy-Parks Funeral Services, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville, IN.

A memorial service will follow at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
