Eva M. Brinson, 89, of Waldron

Eva M. Brinson, 89, of Waldron, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2023 at MHP Medical Center.

Born February 13, 1934 in Waldron, she was the daughter of  William A. Claytor and Ethel M.(Hamer) Claytor.  She married Herbert W. Brinson on December 20, 1953 and he preceded her on August 2, 2005.

Survivors include a daughter Debbie Bain (husband Donald) of Cortez, Colorado, a son Herbert "Allen" Brinson (wife Kelley) of Waldron; 4 grandchildren- Angela, Scott, Emily, Amanda; and 6 great grandchildren.  She was also a special aunt to her many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her spouse, brother William "Bill" Claytor, and great grandchild Dayton Isebrand.

Mrs. Brinson was a lifelong resident of this area, and graduated from Waldron High School in1953. She had been a cafeteria worker at Waldron Elementary School, retiring after many years of service, and had also worked at the old Harrison Cafeteria in Shelbyville for several years.  She was a 75+ year member of Waldron Baptist Church, and a member of the Red Hat Society, and St. Joe Social Club.

Eva enjoyed cooking, traveling, camping, and loved spending time with her family.  She enjoyed traveling in her later years with her cousin Dorothy Claytor, and especially enjoyed their three week trip to Alaska a few years ago.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at Waldron Baptist Church, with Rev. Bob Prather and Jim Stafford officiating. Burial will be in Van Pelt Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday evening, March 22, 2023 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm, at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road. Waldron Baptist Church will prepare a funeral dinner immediately following the committal service.
