JoAnn Buening, 83,  former St. Paul resident, passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at her daughter's residence in Indianapolis.

Born July 24, 1939 in Decatur County, she was the daughter of James Colson and Cora (Black) Colson. She married Joseph Buening on April 22, 1958 and he preceded her on January 29, 2022.

Survivors include 9 children- Juanita Ann Rogers (Keith) of St. Paul, Becky Buening of Indianapolis, Janice Buening of Indianapolis, Tim Buening of St. Paul, Mary Linville (Dan) of Morristown, Helen Ramsey (Mike) of St. Paul, Patricia Stevens of Waldron, George Buening (Rebecca) of Indianapolis, Kathleen McGuire (Ed) of Indianapolis; brother Earl Colson of Greensburg; sister Betty Ruble of Greensburg; 17 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, 4 sisters and 5 brothers.

Mrs. Buening had lived in this area her entire lifetime and attended Greensburg High School. JoAnn was a homemaker and a member of St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church. JoAnn enjoyed camping, playing dominos, and taking care of her family and grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, 4218 E Michigan Road, with Father Paul Landwerlen officiating. Burial will be in St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may call on Monday evening, June 12 at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road from 4:00-7:00 pm.
