Ida "Jennye" (Sisson) Haag, age 90, of Greenfield

Ida “Jennye” (Sisson) Haag, age 90, of Greenfield, passed away July 25, 2023 surrounded by her loving family at Springhurst Healthcare Center, Greenfield. She was born January 4, 1933, to the late Floyd L. Sisson Sr. and Elroy (Damesworth) Sisson. She was married to Herbert V. Haag until his passing in 2004.

Jennye was a graduate of Greenfield High School and worked as a teller for Ameriana Bank in Greenfield for many years. She then worked thirteen years for Weight Watchers, Inc. She was an active member of St. Michael Catholic Church of Greenfield, serving on the Ladies Club. Jennye also enjoyed being a part of the Riley Wranglers Square Dancers and was a member of Psi Iota Xi. She was very well known for making her tea rings at the holidays. She will be remembered for her service to the community as a volunteer at Hancock Regional Hospital.

Jennye is survived by her daughters, Kathy Staples of Fishers, Lori Mays of New Palestine, Judy (Scott) MacDonald of Indianapolis, and Carey (Duane) Stottlemyer of Anderson; sister, Barbara J. Coil of Greenfield; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, including one due next month; four great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Elroy Sisson; husband, Herbert V. Haag; son, David; brothers, Marcus Sisson, William E. Sisson and Floyd L. Sisson; sister, Mary Ann Hatfield; great-grandson, Trenton; and son-in-law, Allen Staples.

Visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday August 1, 2023 from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church, 519 Jefferson Boulevard, Greenfield, Indiana with a Funeral Mass to follow at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be at Park Cemetery, Greenfield.

Memorial donations on behalf of Jennye may be made to St. Michael Catholic School of Greenfield or to the Hancock Health Foundation, 801 N. State Street, Greenfield.
