Linda Kay Alford, 80, of Shelbyville

Linda Kay Alford, 80, of Shelbyville, passed away Sunday, August 13, 2023

at MHP Medical Center.

Born June 26, 1943 in Rushville, she was the daughter of Robert Raymond Ball

and Cloe Agnes (Foster) Ball. She married Robert J. "Pete" Alford on June 2, 1962

and he preceded her on July 2, 1978.

Survivors include 3 children- Anthony J. "Tony" Alford (Beth) of Shelbyville, Terri Alford of Shelbyville, Tim Alford of Shelbyville, adopted daughter Debbie Hensley (Don) of Greenwood; sister-Ellen Rogers (Charlie) of Rushville; 2 grandchildren- Ciara Griffith (Devon), Travis Hartwell; 3 great grandchildren- Quinten Griffith, Owen Griffith and Asher Hartwell; she is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was precededin death by her parents, spouse, sister Judy Hill, brothers Jack, Bill,  and Ralph Ball.

Mrs. Alford was a lifetime resident of this area and attended Rushville High School.

Linda was a homemaker and factory worker for KT Corp & Standard Register for several years, retiring in 2005. She was a member of Shelbyville First Church of Nazarene. Linda enjoyed working puzzles, attending yard sales and shopping, babysitting her grandchildren, watching Cincinnati Reds games, and spending time with her family. 

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm, Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road, with Pastor Steve Bohall officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call on Saturday morning from 11:00 am until the time of the service, at the funeral home.
