Gary G. Gaddis, 67, of Shelbyville

Gary G. Gaddis, 67, of Shelbyville, passed away Saturday, August 26, 2023

at IU Methodist Hospital.

 

Born September 14, 1955 in Shelbyville, he was the son of Norman Gaddis

and Anna Lucille (Adkins) Gaddis.  He married Deborah (Caudill) Gaddis on

October 14, 1978, and she survives.

 

Other survivors include his Mother Lucille Gaddis of Shelbyville; a daughter-

Melissa Petro (husband Eric) of Carmel; sons- Troy Gaddis (wife Kimberley)

of Shelbyville, Travis Gaddis (wife Amanda) of Indianapolis; a brother Gail

Gaddis of Shelbyville; and 3 grandchildren- Camrin Petro, Simon Petro, and

Willow Gaddis.  He was preceded in death by his father.

 

Mr. Gaddis was a lifelong resident of this area, and graduated from Shelbyville

High School in 1973.  Had had worked for Arvin Muffler in Franklin and Columbus,

retiring after over 45 years of service.

 

Gary enjoyed tinkering on cars and lawn mowers, attending car shows, taking

trips to the Smokies and Gatlinburg, caring for his mother, and spending time with

his family.

 

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm on Thursday, August 31, 2023 at Glenn E. George

& Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road, with Pastor Daniel Miller officiating. 

Burial will be in Miller Cemetery. 

Friends may call at the funeral on Thursday morning

from 11:00 am until the time of the service.

 

Memorial contributions can be made to Shelby County Cancer Association, or

Meals on Wheels, in care of the funeral home.
