Bobby L. (Chance) Martin, 64, of Shelbyville, passed away Sunday, August 27, 2023 at Indiana University Hospital.

He was born May 2,1959 in Shelbyville, IN. to Robert Martin and Dorothy (Merrick) Mentzer.  

Bobby attended Shelbyville High School.

He served in the United States Army.

Bobby attended Crossroad Community Church.  He was kind hearted, he loved to help everyone.  Bobby was very loving and a very giving person.

He is survived by his wife, Sheila Ann (Shoopman) Martin, his mother, Dorothy Mentzer, sisters, Ruthann Morton, Karen (husband, Don) Walker; best friend/brother, Keith Hardcastle; step-children, Kyle Hubbard, Kirk (wife, Destiny) Hubbard and Keashia (husband, Joey) Spears.

Visitation will be Friday, September 1, 2023 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Murphy-Parks Funeral Services, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville, IN.

Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Andy Lee officiating.

Burial will be in Whispering Hope Memorial Gardens, with military rites conducted by local Veteran organizations.

Funeral Directors, Greg Parks, Sheila Parks, Stuart Parks, and Darin Schutt are honored to serve Bobby's family.
