Shirley A. Knoll, 87, of Waldron, passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at Waldron Health Care.

Born July 23, 1936 in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Frank L. Wright Sr. and Ethel (Teets) Wright. She married Jack L. Knoll on June 15, 1958 and he preceded her on September 14, 2011.

Survivors include 2 children- Mike Knoll of Shelbyville and Sally Doddridge of Waldron; brother- Frank Wright; 12 grandchildren; and15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, daughter Tammy Knoll, sister Patty Mills, brother Carl Wright and granddaughter Christy Doddridge.

Mrs. Knoll was a lifetime resident of this area and graduated from Waldron High School in 1955. She was a bookkeeper for Home Phone Co. for many years, a member of Waldron Baptist Church, Waldron Community Club, Waldron Eastern Star, and Red Hat Society. Shirley enjoyed shopping, baking cookies, traveling, getting her hair and nails done every Friday, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Monday, September 18, 2023 at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road, with Pastor Kim DeKoker officiating. Burial will be in Van Pelt Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday evening, September 17, from 4:00-7:00 pm.
