Robert Donald McKee, age 90, of Fairland, passed away September 13, 2023, at Fairway Village in Indianapolis. He was born January 4, 1933, in New Castle, Indiana to the late Robert S. and Margaret M. (Hernly) McKee. Bob was a graduate of Howe High School and later attended Indiana University.
Bob served in the United States Airforce from 1952 until 1956. Prior to his retirement Bob worked for Clark’s Appliance and Certified Floor Covering Services. Bob was a great family man with a tremendous sense of humor. He was a former member of the Sertoma Club, was an avid golfer, and loved to watch Indiana University sports.
He is survived by his children Mark (Debbie) McKee, Cheryl McKee; son-in-law, Danny Gonsalves; grandchildren, Ray Parrott, Erika (Justin) Geis, Jessika McKee, and great grandchild Asher Geis.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents; wife Barbara (Johnson) McKee in 2004; son, Michael McKee in 1992, and sister Phyllis Kendall.
Visitation will be 11:00 am until 1:00 pm, Friday, September 15, 2023, at Southeastern Church of Christ, 6500 Southeastern Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46203. Funeral service at 1:00 pm with Pastor Lyle Asbill officiating. Burial with military rites immediately following the service at South Mound Cemetery, New Castle, Indiana.
