James C. "Jim" Brunner, 72, of Shelbyville, passed away October 27, 2023 at Franciscan Health.

Born November 17, 1950 in Crawfordsville, Indiana, he was the son of Walter Brunner and Alma (Eglan) Brunner.  He married Sherry E. (Dusenbury) Brunner on August 30, 1969, and she survives.

Other survivors include 2 sons- Ryan Brunner of Shelbyville, and Alex Morales (wife Chayli) of  Columbus; 6 brothers and one sister; and one granddaughter- Shyla Morales. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers- Dan Brunner, Don Brunner, and John Brunner, and a sister Millie Hatke.

Mr. Brunner had lived most of his lifetime in this area, and graduated from Granville Wells High School in Jamestown, Indiana.  He had been employed as a lineman for PSI/Duke Energy, retiring after 38 years of service.  He was a member of Shelbyville Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Jim enjoyed golfing, gardening, and watching birds in his back yard.  He loved being a husband and grandpa.

Funeral services will be  2:00 pm Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Shelbyville Kingdom Hall, 224 N. Knightstown Road, Shelbyville, with Dwain Winton officiating.  Friends may call from 1:00 pm until the time of the service.
