John W. Nelson, 82, Indianapolis, passed away on Friday, November 10, 2023.

John served four years in the U.S. Air Force. He worked for 30 years for Naval Warfare Center in Indianapolis. He enjoyed bicycling and activities at the YMCA.

He is survived by his wife, Anna Nelson; sons, Mike Nelson and Brian (Audrey) Nelson; granddaughters, Lorelie Nelson and Hannah Nelson; grandsons, Andrew Nelson and Brady Nelson; sisters, Mary Bond and Sara Burns; and brother, Alan Nelson.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Cumberland Chapel, 11636 East Washington Street, Indianapolis, with the memorial service starting at 11:00 a.m., also at the funeral home.
