Aaron Joseph Cox, 31, of Shelbyville, passed away Thursday, November 23, 2023 at his residence.

Born June 10, 1992 in Beech Grove, she was the son of Joseph L. Cox and Sonya (Doss) Morrison

Survivors include his mother Sonya "Sonnie" Morrison (husband Steve) of Indianapolis; grandparents

Don & Brenda Harris of Greenwood; a son Joseph Clark "Joey" Cox of Shelbyville; a brother Tyler Lee Cox of Greenwood, sister Caroline Oberle (husband Todd) of Beech Grove; niece Kylee Cox; Uncle Eric Doss (wife Danni) of Greenwood; and cousin Ava Doss of Greenwood.  He was preceded in death by his father, and grandparents Clarence and Norma Cox.

Mr. Cox was a lifelong resident of this area, and graduated from Center Grove High School in 2010. 

He was a member of Thompson Road Baptist Church in Indianapolis.  He had been a maintenance technician at Hostess Bakery in Indianapolis for two years.

Aaron enjoyed biking, grilling out, gardening, and taking care of his plants and lawn.  He especially loved  spending time with his son Joey.

Funeral services will be 4:00 pm of Monday, November 27, 2023 at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road, with Pastor Matt Roller officiating. 

Friends may call on Monday afternoon from 2:00 pm until the time of the service.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Joey Cox Educational Fund, in care of the funeral home.
