Rosamond V. "Rose" Sosbe, 96, of Shelbyville, passed away Sunday, December 17, 2023 at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born June 24, 1927 in Shelby County, she was the daughter of Glen H. Knight and Irene (Sweet) Knight. She married Henry W. Sosbe on June 10, 1946 and he preceded her on February 4, 2000.

Survivors include 2 sons- Ron Sosbe of Fairland, David Sosbe (Jackie) of Manilla; daughter-in-law. Theresa Sosbe of Fairland; 2 siblings- Ruth Ann Knight and Darlene J. Knight both of Shelbyville; 4 granddaughters- Brande Murdoch (Justin), Jennifer Root (Kyle), Lacey Nigh (Phillip), Brittne Woosley (Bret); and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, son Scott Sosbe and 7 brothers and sisters.

Rose was a lifetime resident of this area and worked at TRW Cinch factory for many years. Rose enjoyed listening to country music and attending concerts. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Friday, December 22, 2023 at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road, with Pastor Steve Brackney officiating.  Burial will be in Second Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until the time of the service, at the funeral home.
