Gene Schramm, 79, of Winamac, passed away on Monday, April 22, 2024, at Hickory Creek in Winamac.
She was born on August 26, 1944 in Monterey, IN to the late Lloyd Eugene and Vonda Zoe [Vanscoyk] Fisher.
She was a graduate of Monterey High School.
On December 19, 1973, Gene married the love of her life Ray Schramm in Chicago, IL. He passed away on May 18, 1995. Gene was retired from Budd Insurance Agency in Winamac.
Gene was an active member of the Winamac First United Methodist Church before she moved to Hickory Creek. Through the years, she was involved with the Red Hat Society, Habitat for Humanity, American Red Cross, and Home-Ec Club. She was an avid reader and enjoyed bowling and crafting. More than anything, Gene loved spending time with her family.

Cremation will take place at Frain Crematory in Winamac.
Visitation will be from 10 AM – 12 Noon EDT Wednesday, April 23, 2024 at Frain Mortuary in Winamac.
Memorial Services will be held at 12 Noon PM EDT Wednesday, April 23, 2024 at Frain Mortuary in Winamac with Rev. Jeff Herron officiating.
Private Graveside Services and Burial will be held at Winamac Cemetery (Southlawn Addition) in Winamac.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Pulaski Animal Center, Winamac First United Methodist Church, or Habitat for Humanity.
