Shelbyville's trip to North Vernon for golf action last Saturday was more eventful than just the competition the Golden Bears faced.  It was an unexpected find on the golf course.

On Friday, a pilot made an emergency landing on the golf course after departing nearby North Vernon Municipal Airport.  A mechanical issue forced the landing of the single-engine Cessna.  The pilot was uninjured.

Shelbyville golf coach Jason Bass said the plane certainly added to the day.

Bass said the plane looked like it belonged there.
