Waldron's Bowlby wins trio of Mid-Hoosier Conference track titles

All three Shelby County schools produced Mid-Hoosier Conference track and field championship wins Tuesday at Waldron High School. 

 

Waldron senior Tyler Bowlby made his final competition on his home track and memorable one by winning the 100-meter dash (11.5 seconds), the 200 (23.58) and the long jump (20 feet, four inches).

 

Fellow Mohawk Ethan Trueblood won the 3,200 (11:04.73).

 

Morristown's Jacob Batten won the 800 in 2:19.41.

 

Southwestern's Riley Snepp crossed the finish line first in the 1,600 (5:01.82).

 

Morristown won the 1,600 relay in 3:49.72 with the combination of Chase Theobald, Kamdyn Gaines, Tyler Schonfeld and Jacob Batten.

 

Southwestern won the 3,200 relay (9:36.32) with Ryan Griffin, Dane Kissell, Collin Cummings and Riley Snepp.

 

Other event winners were Hauser's Aleck Lopez (54.2 in 400) and Forest Steele (17.56 in 110 hurdles, 46.66 in 300 hurdles); North Decatur's Ellis Loehmer (5-10 in high jump); and South Decatur's Ian Frensemeier (46-0 in shot put, 113-5 in discus).

 

North Decatur's Logan Koehne, Kaden Muckerheide, Conner Linkmeyer and Joshua Evans won the 400 relay in 47.53.

 

South Decatur won the team title with 126 points. Hauser was runner-up at 101 followed by North Decatur (94), Morristown (83), Southwestern (73), Waldron (72) and Edinburgh (23).
