Two new top-ranked teams in Associated Press boys basketball poll

North Daviess, Central Noble, NorthWood and Chesterton are the No. 1 ranked teams in this week’s Associated Press boys basketball poll.

North Daviess (13-1) remained No. 1 in Class A while Gary 21st Century (10-2) jumped two spots to No. 2. Edinburgh (11-1) dropped one spot to No. 3 with Bloomfield (12-2), Barr-Reeve (9-6), Loogootee (11-4), Triton (8-2), Lutheran (9-2), Tindley (8-4) and Argos (10-2) rounding out the top 10.

Still unbeaten Central Noble (15-0) stayed on top of the Class 2A poll with Linton-Stockton (14-1), Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian (12-1), Monroe Central (11-0), Carroll (Flora) (11-0), Eastside (14-1), Lake Station (11-0), Southmont (10-1), Clinton Prairie (12-2) and South Spencer (10-2) in pursuit.

NorthWood (14-1) rose two spots to the No. 1 position in Class 3A. John Glenn (13-0) also climbed two spots to No. 2 with Mishawaka Marian (11-2), Brebeuf (10-3), Chatard (13-0), Leo (8-2), Sullivan (12-1), Brownstown Central (10-2), New Castle (10-2) and Peru (11-1) completing the top 10.

Chesterton (13-0) remained unbeaten for another week and ascended to the No. 1 ranking in Class 4A.

Carmel (10-3) is No. 2 ahead of Fishers (13-2), Zionsville (9-2), Valparaiso (13-2), Westfield (10-3), Tech (13-2), Penn (11-1), North Central (10-3) and Ben Davis (11-4).
