Morristown's Caldwell runner-up at Mid-Hoosier Conference Golf Tournament

With three golfers shooting 81 or better, North Decatur captured the Mid-Hoosier Conference Golf Tournament title Saturday at North Branch Golf Course in Greensburg.

Carson Parmer (photo, far right) shot 2-under par 69 to lead the Chargers to the victory and earn the medalist honor.

Jack Koehne (78) and Collin Bryant (81) also earned All-MHC honors for North Decatur. The Cougars’ scorecard was completed by Brady Espinda (92) and Xavier Adams (95).

North Decatur’s 320 was followed in the team standings by Southwestern (382), Edinburgh (382), Hauser (384), Morristown (397) and Waldron (451).

Morristown’s Asher Caldwell (photo, second from right) was part of the seven-player, all-conference squad. Caldwell shot 76 to finish runner-up in the individual standings.

Also for Morristown, Carson Essex shot 95, Nick Stidham followed at 107, Carson Conrad finished at 119 and Webb Walker posted 123.

Southwestern did not have an all-conference honoree but had all five competitors finish within eight strokes of each other to tie Edinburgh for second in the team standings.

Southwestern’s scorecard included Hunter Pappano (93), Caleb Pappano (94), Tristan Pappano (96), Justin Swift (99) and Ty Burcham (101).

Max Blandford led Edinburgh with an 81 to earn the All-MHC designation. Trevor Moon followed at 92. Devyn Milburn (101), Mason Calhoun (108) and Cash Cunningham (111) also competed for the Lancers.

Hauser’s Caleb Wallace (85) and Chase Martoccia (87) also earned All-MHC honors.

Lucas Shaw led Waldron with a 93. Also competing for the Mohawks were Josh Kellems (111), Cole Jones (123), Matthew Thomas (124) and Jack Fischer (133).
