Collegiate Update: Larrison helps Anderson get HCAC win over Manchester

Anderson women’s basketball program collected a 74-68 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference win Wednesday over visiting Manchester.

Waldron graduate Bella Larrison finished with four points, four rebounds and three steals for Anderson (7-5, 3-2 HCAC).

On Saturday, Larrison had five points, five rebounds, one assist and two steals in Anderson’s 69-56 win at Spalding University in Louisville.

Here is a look at other Shelby County graduates competing at the collegiate level.

 

 

Drake Moore

The Morristown graduate finished with eight points, four rebounds, five assists and one block Tuesday in Oakland City’s 73-49 loss to Alice Lloyd College.

The Mighty Oaks dropped to 7-9 this season.

In the Dunn Hospitality Classic on Dec. 29, Moore had five points, four rebounds and one block in Oakland City’s 78-56 loss to Lawrence Tech.

On Friday in game two of the tournament, Oakland City suffered a 68-60 loss to Mount Vernon Nazarene University. Moore had 15 points and seven rebounds.

 

 

Taylor Heath

The Triton Central graduate came off the bench Wednesday to collect 15 points, four rebounds, four assists, one block and two steals in Hanover’s 80-67 win against Mount St. Joseph.

With the win, the Panthers improved to 7-4 overall and 4-0 against HCAC opponents.

 

 

Hayden Langkabel

The Morristown graduate finished with three rebounds, one steal and two assists Wednesday in Marian’s 70-59 loss at No. 4 Grace College.

The loss dropped the Knights to 13-3 (3-3 Crossroads League).

On Friday, Langkabel had two rebounds and one steal in a 67-63 win at the University of Rio Grande.

On Dec. 28, Marian defeated East-West University, 118-64. Langkabel had 13 points, two rebounds, one steal and two assists.

 

 

Tenleigh Phelps

The Triton Central graduate had one rebound Saturday in Youngstown State’s 60-44 victory over Purdue Fort Wayne.

Youngstown State improved to 9-4 this season.

 

 

Rylie Stephens

The Triton Central graduate had one rebound and two assists Friday in Samford’s 112-75 win over Birmingham-Southern.

Samford improved to 6-9.

 

 

Maya Chandler

The Triton Central graduate finished with eight points, one rebound, one assist and one steal Wednesday in Loyola’s 68-49 loss to Richmond.

The Ramblers dropped to 6-9 this season and 1-1 in the Atlantic 10 Conference.

On Dec. 28, Chandler had 15 points, five rebounds and three steals in Loyola’s 60-47 win at St. Louis.
