Prep Report: Morristown gymnastics tops Shelbyville, Indianapolis Lutheran

With Oakleigh Goedde and Remi Spicklemire finishing second and third, respectively, in the all-around competition, Morristown gymnastics defeated Shelbyville and Indianapolis Lutheran Monday night at the Bee Hive.

Lutheran’s Penelope Morrow won the all-around with a score of 31.85.

Goedde was runner-up at 31.0, followed by Spicklemire (28.2), Shelbyville’s Renee Aldridge (27.05) and Ella Griggs (26.175) and Morristown’s Kaelee Trittipo (24.425).

Morrow and Goedde each won two individual events Monday.

Goedde earned first-place ribbons in the vault (8.45) and floor exercise (8.2).

Morrow won the uneven bars (8.175) and balance beam (7.375) events.

Goedde finished second (7.2) on the uneven bars ahead of Aldridge, Spicklemire, Griggs and Trittipo.

 

 

Goedde also finished second (7.15) on the balance beam ahead of Griggs, Spicklemire, Shelbyville’s Faye-Lynn Voss, and Aldridge.

In the vault, Goedde and Morrow (8.375) were followed by Spicklemire, Voss, Aldridge and Trittipo.

Goedde was followed in the floor exercise standings by Morrow (7.925), Spicklemire, Voss, Aldridge and Shelbyville’s Bailee Frazier.

Morristown’s 83.625 points topped Shelbyville (78.025) and Lutheran (54.45).
