Greenwood Christian rolls past Morristown in baseball season opener

A balanced offensive effort that saw seven different Greenwood Christian players get two hits led the Cougars to a 15-5 victory Thursday at Morristown in the season opener for both teams.

Cole Muhlhauser was one of those seven Cougars with two hits and he scored two runs and drove in five to lead Greenwood Christian.

The Cougars struck first with six runs in the top of the third inning but Morristown countered with five runs in the bottom half of the inning.

A three-run fourth and a five-run sixth sealed the win.

Four different Greenwood Christian pitchers allowed just one hit but walked 11 Yellow Jackets.

Morristown returns to action Monday against Tri.
