IHSAA state baseball, softball tournament pairings show air Sunday

The IHSAA baseball and softball state tournaments do not begin until late May. On Sunday, area teams will learn their postseason draw as pairings shows for both tournaments will air live on IHSAAtv.org.

The 38th Annual IHSAA Girls Softball State Tournament Pairings Show will broadcast at 7 p.m. The show will be hosted online by Greg Rakestraw. Complete pairings will be available at IHSAA.org following the broadcast.

Sectional tournaments across the state will run from May 22-27.

Shelbyville will compete in the Class 4A, Sectional 14 tournament hosted by Columbus North. The six-team tournament features Columbus East, Columbus North, East Central, Franklin, Shelbyville and Whiteland.

Triton Central will host Class 2A, Sectional 42. Traveling to Fairland will be Christel House, Heritage Christian, Indianapolis Scecina, Irvington Prep and Park Tudor.

The six teams at Class A, Sectional 59 at Edinburgh are the host Lancers, Eminence, Greenwood Christian Academy, Indianapolis Lutheran, Morristown and Providence Cristo Rey.

Southwestern and Waldron travel to North Decatur for Class A, Sectional 60. The field also includes Jac-Cen-Del, North Decatur, Oldenburg Academy and South Decatur.

Baseball

At 8 p.m. on IHSAAtv.org, Greg Rakestraw will host the 56th Annual Boys Baseball State Tournament Pairings Show. Complete pairings will be online at IHSAA.org following the broadcast.

Sectional tournaments run from May 24-29.

Class 4A, Sectional 14 will be hosted by East Central and include Columbus East, Columbus North, Franklin, Shelbyville and Whiteland.

Park Tudor is the host site for Class 2A, Sectional 42 which features Heritage Christian, Indianapolis Scecina, Irvington Prep, Park Tudor and Triton Central.

Morristown hosts the six-team Sectional 59 field in Class A. Joining the Yellow Jackets will be Edinburgh, Eminence, Greenwood Christian, Indianapolis Lutheran and Indianapolis Metropolitan.

Class A, Sectional 60 at Jac-Cen-Del includes North Decatur, Oldenburg Academy, South Decatur, Southwestern and Waldron.
