Fast start propels Southwestern to win over Indiana Deaf

Ben Kahler and Carter Snepp combined for 19 first-quarter points to get Southwestern an early lead.
The Spartans kept pushing the pace and built a 39-20 lead by halftime and rolled to a 73-43 victory Tuesday over Indiana Deaf.
Kahler finished with a game-high 23 points for Southwestern (2-14). Snepp ended with 16 points and Avery Dennison (14 points) and Michael Clements (12) also reached double digits in the scoring column.
Jayden DeFalco topped Indiana Deaf (11-5) with 18 points and Matthew Saaty finished with 12 points.
Southwestern, 0-3 against Mid-Hoosier Conference opponents this season, hosts Morristown (2-15, 0-5 MHC) Thursday. That game can be heard on GIANT fm with the pregame show airing at approximately 7 p.m.
