Shelbyville's Wilson selected to All-HHC Girls Basketball Team

Shelbyville senior Ava Wilson has been selected to the Hoosier Heritage Conference’s Girls Basketball All-Conference Team.

Wilson averaged 20.5 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.8 steals per game for a Golden Bears team that finished 15-8. Wilson closed out her playing career at Shelbyville with 1,213 career points – fourth best all-time in the program.

Also selected All-HHC were:

  • Delta’s Jillian Barr – 15.3 ppg, 10.2 rpg and 3.3 bpg
  • Greenfield-Central’s Chaney Brown – 13.9 ppg, 6.4 rpg
  • Greenfield-Central’s Madison Sonsini – 14.6 ppg, 9.2 rpg
  • Mt. Vernon’s Ellery Minch – 14.2 ppg, 6.2 rpg
  • Mt. Vernon’s Easton Wampler – 7.4 ppg, 2.9 rpg
  • New Castle’s Emma Hart – 15.1 ppg, 3.7 rpg
  • New Palestine’s Allison Blum – 17 ppg, 5 rpg and 3.6 spg
  • New Palestine’s Vivian Miller – 11.2 ppg, 4 rpg
  • Pendleton Heights’ Kaycie Warfel – 25.2 ppg, 5.8 rpg and 5.6 spg
  • Pendleton Heights’ Olivia Jones – 9.1 ppg, 4.8 rpg
  • Yorktown’s Lilly Sylvester – 14.5 ppg, 7 rpg

Pendleton Heights (15-10, 6-1 HHC) and New Palestine (14-11, 6-1) shared the HHC title.

Greenfield-Central (17-7, 5-2) finished third in the standings ahead of Mt. Vernon (13-14, 4-3), Shelbyville (15-8, 3-4), Yorktown (13-11, 3-4), Delta (11-12, 1-6) and New Castle (2-21, 0-7).

First-year New Palestine head coach Craig Moore was named HHC Coach of the Year.
