Triton Central's Sego selected to play in Futures Game

Triton Central sophomore Eli Sego has been selected to play in the Indiana high school basketball Futures Game on June 3 at Hamilton Southeastern High School.

The North and South rosters are comprised of freshmen and sophomores.

Sego, who averaged 17 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.2 steals per game for Triton Central is part of the South roster.

Also selected to the South roster were Warren Central’s J.J. Craig, Silver Creek’s Kasen Daeger, Mt. Vernon’s Luke Ertel and Julien Smith, Pike’s DeZhon Hall, Carmel’s Evan Harrell, Franklin Central’s Edward Hazelett III, Southport’s James Kalala, Evansville Reitz’s Jaylan Mitchell, Bloomfield’s Blake Neill and Parke Heritage’s Treigh Schelsky.

The South team will be coached by North Daviess’ Brent Dalrymple and Columbus North’s Paul Ferguson.

New Palestine’s Trent Whitaker will lead the North team with John Glenn’s Travis Hannah as the assistant coach.

The North roster includes Wapahani’s Camden Bell, Noblesville’s Justin Curry II, Fishers’ Jason Gardner Jr. and Cooper Zachary, Gary 21st Century’s Terrence Hayes Jr., Gary West’s Reginald Hinton, South Bend St. Joseph’s Elijah King, Lawrence North’s Kai McGrew and Brennan Miller, South Bend Washington’s Steven Reynolds III, Bishop Chatard’s Ethan Roseman and Crown Point’s Dikembe Shaw.
